This had to happen sooner or later, so I can accept it as true.
How will it go on? either there will be now hundreds of chineese usb-phones supporting skype calls in stores all over the world, or they will release the specs, or ebay will buy these asian crackers.

Anyway, I think this is a positive thing, and it gives a few good points to open protocols.

    Wonderful! Now I can’t remove skype (for linux) from my system and use a open program that it haven’t problems with audio and mic. 🙂

    Well, there is no open programm yet, and last skype beta has support (buggy as always) of alsa, so having properly configured alsa, you SHOULD have less problems.

    Anyway, the last thing I would blame skype – is linux support.
